Town of Hempstead's postage budget is out of control. Since 2019, the actual costs have surpassed the budgeted number every single year!  This isn't the total cost, that's just postage. Election years easily see increases of over $1 million.

During the first five months of 2026, John Ferretti spent ~72% of the adopted budgeted. During an election year when the postage budget is historically overspent. The 2027 budget would set a record high of $4.24 million. Last year alone, when Ferretti needed to boost his name after his illegal appointment, the budget was exceeded by ~$1.2 million. Reaching an all-time high total of ~$4.5 million. Ferretti is well on his way to smash that record again this year, potentially spending over $6 million, just to send you self-promotional mailers.
