NO COMMUNITY LEFT BEHIND

JOE'S VISION FOR TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD

The Town of Hempstead is the largest township in America, and for too long, decisions have been made behind closed doors, without transparency, accountability, or real connection to the people who live here. Residents feel unheard, communities feel overlooked, and local government no longer feels like it belongs to the people it serves.

RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP. REFORM WITH RESULTS.

Every introduction. Every conversation. Every connection made will help shift the culture of leadership in Town of Hempstead. This isn’t about persuading strangers; we are engaging our neighbors. It’s about empowering voices that have been ignored. It’s about leading with integrity, empathy, and authenticity as a servant leader.

EXPOSE, AUDIT, REPAIR

As a Marine combat veteran, retired NYPD officer, former prosecutor, husband, and proud father, I’ve spent my life serving others, in war zones, on New York streets, and in courtrooms. Now, I’m ready to fight for you as the next Supervisor of the Town of Hempstead.

Our community is being crushed by rising costs due to irresponsible leadership:
A 12% tax hike from Town Hall
Water rates climbing over 33%
And energy costs are increasing with every bill.

Nothing has gotten better!

All while you cannot get a single answer from Town Hall on where taxpayer money is going.

A PLAN OF ACTION

First Steps

  • Full financial and operational audit of all departments and contracts

  • Implement Participatory Budgeting so projects are decided on by Regional Community Councils

  • Implement efficient pothole repair and snow removal procedures

  • Ensure full transparency in all promotions and compensation decisions

  • Cut the mail budget by thousands of dollars by creating an opportunity for residents to opt out

COMMON SENSE SOLUTIONS THAT WORK

Audit for responsible budgeting

An audit isn’t just paperwork or something we want to do for show. It is a tool we will use to understand what the town has, make smart decisions, and put taxpayer money back to work for the people, not political insiders.

Government Partnerships

Apply for grant opportunities and partnerships across government, regardless of party affiliation

Community Smart Projects

Development should bring together unions, the community, and responsible developers to deliver projects that actually work for the Town of Hempstead.

No more nepotism and conflict of interests.

We will strengthen and enforce our ethics reforms so that nepotism and conflicts of interest are no longer standard practices. The hiring decisions need to be held accountable to the people.

THE CHOICE IS CLEAR

Do you want more of the same: higher taxes, broken promises, no answers?

Or do you want a Marine who’s never backed down?
A public servant who has spent his life fighting for justice?
A father who wants a future for all our families?

I’m ready to fight for the Town of Hempstead.
But I need your voice, your vote, and your belief that there will be no community left behind.

PUTTING THE PLAN TO WORK

These are some of the ways Joe will put his platform into action. He will continue to listen to residents and let their needs guide his priorities across the Town.

Protecting Taxpayers for the Long Term

On Day One, Joe will launch a comprehensive financial review. Building on his commitment to audit departments and contracts, that review will also examine:

  • Capital projects and Town-owned properties.

  • Interfund transfers and recurring expenses.

  • Opportunities to redirect wasteful spending toward residents’ needs.

Joe will involve financial experts and develop a responsible, multiyear plan to rebuild the General Fund cushion so the Town is better prepared for emergencies and unexpected costs.

Bringing Town Government to You
Residents shouldn’t have to come to Town Hall to be heard. Joe will:

  • Hold regular local town halls and more evening meetings.

  • Offer rotating Supervisor office hours throughout the Town.

  • Listen, answer questions, hear concerns, and report back on Town business.

Through participatory budgeting, residents will help identify, develop, and vote on local projects, with dedicated funding across Town Council Districts.

Supporting Town Employees
Joe will work with CSEA to establish fair, consistent practices that support Town workers. He will also pursue a ban on employee campaign donations to protect workers from political pressure.

Supporting Local Businesses
Joe’s Business Initiative will help local businesses navigate Town processes, access resources, and build connections through:

  • One-stop permit assistance.

  • Multilingual business navigators.

  • Support for women-owned and minority-owned businesses.

  • Ribbon cuttings and business promotion.

  • Help navigating grant and loan opportunities.

  • Workshops and partnerships with local chambers and colleges.

  • Assistance navigating Town procurement opportunities.

Animal Welfare & Shelter Reform
“No Community Left Behind” includes our animals. Joe will bring accountability, safety, and dignity to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter through:

  • Facility modernization: Joe worked with the Governor to secure the $500,000 New York State Companion Animal Capital Projects grant. He will ensure those funds are used transparently to build a dedicated canine medical suite, upgrade kennels, and address soundproofing, plumbing, drainage, and HVAC needs.

  • Qualified staffing and safety training: Hire qualified professionals based on experience rather than political connections, and provide staff and volunteers with comprehensive safety training and the tools they need.

  • Operational accountability: Conduct a full shelter operational audit, working with state oversight to identify and address safety hazards, management failures, and practices that expose the Town to costly litigation.

Serving Those Who Served
Joe’s veterans agenda will connect veterans and their families with practical assistance, expanded opportunities, and the recognition they deserve.
